Burnout & Overwhelm
When was the last time you didn’t have a million thoughts running through your mind? When was the last time you were able to sleep soundly without worrying about something? When was the last time you were not stressed? When was the last time you did something for yourself? If you’re having difficulty remembering or you can recall the day/time/year but it seems impossible to achieve that, maybe its time to try something different.
You could easily keep marching along (the way you have been for months or years now), but to what end?
Burnout looks different for everyone. Some say they are constantly exhausted…an exhaustion that cannot be solved with sleep. Others say they find themselves to be impatient, angry, irritable, or even cynical. Some don’t feel anything anymore – almost numb to any emotion or response.
Unfortunately, life is full of stress and sometimes it can be overwhelming or all consuming, but therapy gives you the space to be heard and seen. Therapy can help you release your thoughts and emotions, talk about your stress, build in boundaries and preserve your sanity. Whether you feel burnt out already or you know its approaching, its time to do something for you. Let therapy be it.
